New FAQ Page

Hi

It has been awhile, since I updated about Aiko.
I have added FAQ page to answer most of the common questions.

Also have a new costume for Aiko to wear. It's a maid costume from a certain anime character.
Can you guess the character???

perhaps orient industry, the place that sells life size silicone people, will be a sponsor. I'm not sure but I'm so happy that aikos may be for sale in a couple years!
i have a couple questions though.
1. my cousin dislikes the name aiko, can aikos name be changed?
2.will aiko really do watever you ask her to do as long as it doesnt harm her?
3.can aiko go swimming?

do you have to tell aiko to do something or will she do it on her own sometimes. for example, if you put her in a math class, would she automatically do the math paper or would someone have to walk up to her and say "aiko, do math," ?

New costume for Aiko'll be great on her. Current project Aiko really remind me persocoms from Chobits. (After integrating computer and battareys into Aiko's body it'll remind me Chobits much more).

2 Chii chan
Orient idustry will be a sponsor?
Maybe Orient wants to create a sexdoll with A.I, uses project Aiko?

2 Querty
I think that Aiko uses standart windows TTS engine and of course you can buy and activate other voices.

I'm very interesting in many robotics projects, such as Asimo (Honda), Actroid (Kokoro Dreams), Universal Virual Human Interface (Guile 3D studio) and much more. I have watching Project Aiko from october 2007.
I see a science and commercial part in Project Aiko (Asimo project has only science part, but Actroid has only commerccial part) and i think that creator wrote an AI, better than another AIs. He can write the first AI, what can be used in a commercial project, and of course he'll find a sponsor.

About voice. I heard this voice in TTS engine uses SAPI4.
About driving. I know many special robots driving cars and i think that adding a driving function will be the right way for Project.

(I'm speaking ruenglish, sorry).

That is amazing.

How is the funding coming along?

Have you been able to get any USA companies interested in sponsoring?

Hi there.

She's amazing!
Maybe some interested students from the Computer Animation class at Sheridan Institute, Brampton, could help making a small commercial movie, which could show a simulation of how Aiko would behave and look like, if she had all her planned updates done?
They seem to be interested in science-fiction topics, and maybe they would also be amazed with Aiko...

http://www1.sheridaninstitute.ca/programs/0809/pcadc/

By the way, is Aiko's software B.R.A.I.N.S. a kind of artificial neural network simulation?
I think "intelligent software" is quite interesting, but have only been reading some about it for a few years and tried some simple simulation programs. (It's a huge subject).

Hi Le!
What's new with the Project? There is no new information about Aiko on the site. Was she complete the chobits cosplay? Maybe i asks a lot of questions, but i'm Aiko fan. ;)

Hello again.
I have an interest idea for Project. What do you think about using Mac Mini as the computer, built in the Aiko's body? It has good components, all ports (without COM, but servos had to work woth USB>COM), wifi, bluetooth... It's really small. And it's not expensive in US and Canada. (Don't forget about the best OS in the world, Mac OS X :).

The reason she is wearing a chobits costume is because I donated to aikproject for a minute video clip.
Actually I hope he can do 90 seconds for me.
Perhaps anyone can help him.

Hi all.

Sorry, I didn't replay for so long, due to heath reason.
Yes, Kipi is a talented cosplayer. Chobits was one of my
favorite show.

To Niel
Yes, BRAINS software is a simple neural network which was
designed to interact with the environment and process it.
Since, you are local you can visited Aiko anytime for a demo.

To Perry
As of today, no sponsor yet. I guess I will have to work harder.

To Xtra
Yes, Aiko can config to "companion mode".

To Michael
Yes, new pictures is uploaded to the blog already.
Chii from Chobit. It took my awhile because I was seriously ill for the
last month or so.

As for Mac Mini. It is too large and take too much power. Not too mention I have to buy
the Mac Mini, the money which I don't have.

To Rogier...
Yes, I will try to do some demo video for you.
My body is still ill, once I get better I will make a video for you.
Thank for the donation.

Hi Aiko, Le Trung, and internet surfers.

Unfortunately I live in Europe, not Brampton... just browsed some Brampton-internet-pages from interest. Else it would've been a great honour to visit Aiko.

Concerning the AI software like B.R.A.I.N.S., maybe this could be improved if we learn even more about the architectures of information processing regions in real brains and then imitate these architectures at greater detail in the AI software?

(I'm a master student in musicology, but have been associated with a local cognitive neuroscience research team, who scan brains of people while they play or listen to music. My special interest has become coding (of music) in neural networks.)
